Heart 4 the Wounded - we made a difference!!

Delegates participating during the conference
Dear Wound Care Enthusiast,

How quickly time goes by, can't believe that it is already 2 weeks since the Heart 4 the Wounded conference.  This was a weekend where friends and colleagues and new alliances and networks were formed.

Thank you for each and everyone in making this event such an extraordinary event.  Without the support of our Sponsors and Exhibitors we would not have been able to host such a great event.

Here are some of the photographs of the event.  All photo's are available for download on the Eloquent website.

The conference had several highlights and some are featured in these photographs.

Our thanks to all the excellent speakers without you sharing your expertise we would not have been able to present such a high quality program.

The patient' perspective.

The multi-disciplinary approach was displayed throughout the whole conference program and each speaker brought his or her own unique viewpoint to the management of the diabetic patient with a foot ulcer. The interview with Mr Meyer a diabetic was insightful and showed the importance of the patient as central to the team approach.

It was a privilege to have Dr Abbas (President PADFSG) and Dr Lynne Tudhope (Vice-president PADFSG) as key speakers. With programs such as the Step by Step program initiated by Dr Abbas we truly can make a difference in not only patients lives but also in our communities.

We are also very grateful for all the support for our drive to support "Stop Rhino Poaching".  Thank you to all our sponsors and every delegate contributing towards stopping Rhino poaching in South Africa.  We managed to raise R20 000 towards the Stop Rhino Poaching Foundation.

Our Gala dinner was great fun and everyone took part in wearing their masks to show their support for such a worthy cause.  Thank you to all!!  Dr Lamont gave an excellent talk on what is currently done with regards to plastic surgery for the mutilated rhino's.

Till next time, dare to make a difference and keep an eye on the website for upcoming Eloquent events.  Our next major Heart 4 the Wounded conference will be happening in 2015.  Can't wait to see what we will be able to do by then when working together!!

We made a difference now it is time to share the knowledge gained with all our peers.

You decide every MOMENT of every day who you are and what you BELIEVE in
You get a second change, every second!

Best wishes
