Heart 4 the Wounded Conference final reminder

Dear Wound Care Enthusiast,

We are so excited to announce that the conference is registered for 20 CPD points including ethics points for the Thursday lectures at the opening of the conference by Dr Frans Cronje.

Make sure that you attend the opening session on Thursday to ensure that you will be able to receive your ethics points!!!

Just a reminder that registration is open for the upcoming Hear for the wounded conference.
We are excited to announce Dr Lynne Tudhope as a  key speaker for the conference:
Dr Lynne Tudhope
Vascular Surgeon

 Dr. Tudhope is a registered vascular surgeon in Pretoria South Africa. She currently runs two multidisciplinary diabetic foot clinics in South Africa, as well as a foot clinic in Mauritius.  She focuses specifically on diabetic foot disease and the endo-venous laser treatment of varicose veins. A large part of her practice involves minimally invasive endovascular procedures. She does aortic, carotid and peripheral interventional procedures in a large percentage of her patients.
 In addition, she has a research interest in patient compliance reinforcement. Dr Lynne Tudhope has been serving the community since 1999.
After qualifying as a general surgeon in 1999, Dr. Tudhope did the two-year vascular fellowship at Pretoria Academic hospital. During this time she also completed the European Endovascular Diploma.
She also initiated the establishment of the first Unit for Peripheral Vascular surgery affiliated with the University of Pretoria with Prof. J. van Marle.  She is a regular invited speaker at international conferences and she is the Africa member for the Editorial advisory board of Vascular Specialist the official newspaper of the society for vascular surgery North America.  She is also on the Editorial Board for the official journal Wound Healing Southern Africa of the Wound Healing Association of South Africa (WHASA).
She is the founding member and past president of the Diabetic Foot Working Group (DFWG) and currently is the president-elect of the newly formed Pan African Diabetic Foot Study Group.

Upcomming events

Dear Wound Care Enthusiast,

This year certainly has started with more than just the usual fireworks.  We already had our first Course presented at the  Menlyn Woods Medical Centre in Faerie Glen Pretoria and can't wait to invite you all to the formal opening of the new Eloquent Training Centre together with the Wound Management Innovation clinic all forming part of the new Eloquent Health & Wellness team.
The next courses scheduled for March 2015 includes Module 2 Management of the Diabetic foot on the 5th & 6th of March 2015.  Please visit the website to ensure your place booking since this advanced course is only done with limited delegates to facilitate maximum skills development and patient interaction. Guest speakers consist of a multidisciplinary team involved in the management of the Diabetic foot.

We also have a Basic Wound Management short course scheduled for the 26th of March 2015.  This course features as a refresher course and product update for all involved in wound care.
